A resident of Richlieu Pl. reported an attempted fraud. The victim stated they received a text message from an individual posing as their employer who advised the victim to purchase $1,200 in Apple gift cards. The victim became suspicious and never purchased the gift cards.

Sahiem Fox, 32 of Plainfield NJ, was arrested by Off. Ricerca for shoplifting from a Terrill Rd. business. Fox was transported to HQ, processed and released with a court date. Fox also had an outstanding warrant from North Plainfield municipal court.

A resident of Valleyscent Ave. reported a residential burglary. The victim stated an unknown individual gained access to the residence through a window and stole several personal effects. The incident is currently under investigation.

A resident of Freedom Ln. reported an attempted theft. The victim stated an unknown individual entered their vehicle however nothing was stolen.

A resident of Patriots Way reported a theft from a motor vehicle. The victim stated an unknown individual entered their unsecured vehicle and stolen $1,000 cash from the vehicle. The incident is currently under investigation.

Several victims reported criminal mischief to their vehicles while parked at a North Ave. business. A total of 6 vehicles had their tires slashed. The incident is currently under investigation.

Danny Pazmino-Plaza, 39 of Scotch Plains, was arrested by Off. Sopko during the course of a motor vehicle stop for an outstanding warrant out of Mountainside. Pazmino-Plaza was transported to HQ, processed and released with a court date.

A resident of Black Birch Rd. reported a fraud. The victim stated they inquired about a vehicle for sale on Facebook marketplace which was listed by a friend. Unbeknownst to the victim, the friend’s Facebook account had been compromised. The victim then wired $3,000 to the suspect which they believed was their friend. The incident is currently under investigation.

A resident of Brookside Dr. reported a fraud. The victim stated they mailed a check however never made it to the recipient. The check was altered and cashed elsewhere.

Maria Dalrymple, 48 of Plainfield NJ, was arrested by Off. Morgan during the course of an investigation for suspicious activity for an outstanding warrant out of Plainfield municipal court. Dalrymple was transported to HQ, processed and released with a court date.
